BASIC RULES
- Entries must be specific for parades; not just
a company car or companies vehicle.
- No handouts along the parade route. Remember,
this is a residential area.
- Politicians must furnish their own transportation
and remain in their car (one vehicle), no walking and shaking hands,
handing out flyers, etc, as to slow down the parade.
- No loudspeakers, except for the music relevant
to that entry. This must not be so loud as to interfere with other
entries.
Parade position will be determined by the parade committee and may
change the day of the parade, depending upon entries.
- Wrapped candy may be thrown. Be careful of children
running into the street to retrieve.
- Failure to be at the parade starting point on
time forfeits the entries parade rights.
- The parade committee reserves the right to determine
other rules and procedures beneficial to the total parade.
- No water may be squirted during any portion
of the parade.
NOTE: Postcards with approximate line-up number
will be mailed the week prior to parade date.

- No confirmation of your parade application
will be sent
- There is NO COST to enter the River Fest
Parade
- Parade line up is at 11:00 a.m. at Monticello
American Legion (304 Elm Street)
- See parade official there for your unit
number
- Unit numbers WILL NOT be made available
until parade day

- Parade begins at 12:30 p.m. SHARP!
PARADE APPLICATIONS MUST
